Ford mustangs were first introduced to the world in 1964 at the World Exhibition that was being held in New York City. The car was instant success. People crammed into Ford dealerships all competing to be one of the first owners of one of the coveted ford mustangs. The first day ford mustangs were made available to the general public over twenty thousand mustangs were purchased and in their first year on the market ford mustangs were purchased by nearly a half a million people.

 

Over the years there have been many changes and models, some good, some bad.

 

For many years ford mustangs were available to the public as both coupes and convertibles. Both options were popular and featured long hoods and short rear decks. ... However that was about it when it came to options.

 

The "muscle car" that Mustangs were and were becoming, up through the early 70's, disappeared. For some reason Ford started downsizing the engines. After many years, to many in my opinion, the bigger & stronger engines started making their come back.
